New YMJ AXIS-SHIF Wrist Cuffs
At the end of 2018, the idea was conceived by Narcis Yamamoto (real name: Masahiro Yamamoto).
Together with his brother, a leather bag craftsman, they combined over 40 years of experience to create the training gear Elbow Cuffs ELITE.
This original product is crafted in a long-established Japanese workshop that has been in business for three generations.
It represents the culmination of a single craftsman’s skills and has been refined to a level of finish comparable to steel.
The Elbow Cuffs ELITE can be worn on a wide range of areas, including the upper arms, wrists, ankles, and knees (knees: L size only).
This model, however, is specifically designed for use on the wrists and ankles.
Until now, cloth or leather straps have been used to assist grip strength in order to firmly hold weighted grips.
Today, power grips are overwhelmingly common, but even so, this type of training still places excessive strain on the forearms and upper arms.
By upgrading the gear strap included with the Elbow Cuffs ELITE to a more powerful grip, it can handle the grip strength required for pull-type movements commonly used in back training.
During the return phase of the movement, the grip can be relaxed, reducing strain on the arms.
In addition, the design allows the wrists to rotate inward and outward, enabling free stimulation of the back muscles without changing grips.
When worn around the ankles, the gear can also be used to train the gluteal and adductor muscles.
When used together with the Elbow Cuffs ELITE body, more effective back training can be achieved.

◆ Weight Capacity ◆
Ring attached to the main wrist gear section: 150 kg load capacity
D-ring attached to the strap end: 110 kg load capacity
Because the wrist section of this product is secured with Velcro, using excessively heavy loads may cause the gear to come off the wrist.
In addition, frequent use will gradually degrade the Velcro, resulting in reduced durability.
Please use this product with a full understanding of these characteristics.
◆ Size ◆
Compatible wrist size: 15 cm and above
The distance between the wrist and the shaft is adjustable in three stages, allowing the gear to fit securely and comfortably into the palm.
Length from the shaft to the wrist section:
S Size: Thumb side 4 cm / Little finger side 3 cm
Suitable for women with smaller hands
M Size: Thumb side 5 cm / Little finger side 4 cm
Average hand size
L Size: Thumb side 6 cm / Little finger side 5 cm
Suitable for larger hands
When the gear is worn, it is designed to fit tightly into the palm.
Especially during back training, when the loop strap is pulled, the design prevents the grip from lifting away from the palm.
Please note this intentional tight fit in advance.
As a result, the overall feel is comparable to the snug fit of a power grip.
(The shaft is designed at a slight angle, with the thumb side slightly longer and the little finger side shorter.
The correct wearing orientation is with the downward-sloping side of the shaft on the little finger side, and the attached ring facing outward.)
When using the gear for chest or arm training, please switch from the orientation described above and wear it on the opposite arm, positioning the ring on the inside of the hand.

Before use, be sure to firmly wrap and secure the Velcro strap around the wrist.
Please refrain from using the product in any way other than the recommended usage, as improper use may result in injury or damage.
